Eat whole foods - foods that you can actually grow Beets and potatoes grow from the ground. An egg comes from a hen. But where did those apple jacks from? Unprocessed foods will give you the most benefits, while processed foods lack nutritional quality. A lot of processed foods tend to sneak in things that aren’t needed like extra sodium and sugar. Now, I am not saying that you can’t indulge in those processed cravings infrequently (sometimes those lays cheddar chips are hard to resist!) But if you’re trying to eat healthier all together, then keep an eye on the products that have been minimally processed.

Be mindful. You ever scarfed down food so fast because you were hungry? Yea, me too! Eating fast can lead to gaining weight and may also add your risk of diabetes, heart disease, and stomach problems. When you sit down to your next meal, I challenge you to savor every bite. The first few bites you are going to enjoy, trust me. It takes the brain 20 minutes to realize that your stomach is full. So if you throwing back food like there’s no tomorrow, chances are you will eat past the full and become stuffed.

Choose meat that hasn’t been processed. This is for my non-vegan people out there! When you choose meat that’s been processed into sausage, strips, or slices, you’re consuming more sodium than usual and preservatives instead of nourishing nutrients. Stick to meats that without any antibiotics or added growth hormones.

10.Pack up your leftovers! If there’s enough left over for lunch tomorrow, pack it up and store it in the fridges. We’re trained to think that if we don’t eat everything on our plate, we are misbehaving. But that isn’t the case! Your body becomes a storage unit if you keep munching even after your full. Just toss the scraps in the trash, I promise I will not tell! By: Darious Voncel
